Plantronics has expanded its family of VoIP headset solutions with the new SupraPlus Wideband headset and Vista M22 amplifier with Clearline audio technology. Used together or separately, they utilize wideband networks to offer optimal voice quality, reliability and comfort.
“Businesses are unwilling to compromise on the sound quality of their IP phones,” said Nora Freedman, research analyst, IDC. “Global desktop IP phone shipments are expected to grow at an average of 29 percent each year between now and 2010, increasing from approximately 7 million in 2005 to 25 million in 2010.”
Aware of this trend, Plantronics designed the SupraPlus to support new wideband IP phones from companies including Avaya, Cisco, Nortel, Siemens and ShoreTel. It can be enhanced with the amplifier to form a complete wideband solution.
“By understanding the VoIP network and working closely with manufacturers, Plantronics continues to develop products that operate well in VoIP infrastructures,” said Chuck Yort, vice president of Business Solutions. “Our new wideband products compensate for environmental and network factors to allow more effective business conversations in the enterprise and contact center.”
