TelStrat VoIP Telephone Recording

TelStrat, a global supplier of enterprise and carrier-class access communications equipment, described how their VoIP Telephone Recording Architecture overcomes IP network issues for call center deployments.

Over the past few years, recording of VoIP conversations has been achieved by implementing either port mirroring or spanning in the data network. When the limitations have been met or use of this is not desired, deployment of duplicate media stream-compatible VoIP telephones and networks enable the CallParrot Business Call Recording system to record these conversations without costly replacement of data network equipment.

"When a call center in Ireland moved to a new office location and upgraded their data network equipment, they overlooked the necessity of duplicating VoIP traffic for their CallParrot system," said Bob Cabala, Vice President, Enterprise Business Group, TelStrat. "Leveraging their duplicate media stream-compatible Nortel IP telephones and a simple software upgrade put them back in operation."

The new CallParrot software allows recording of legacy digital and analog telephones, radios and other telephony devices along with VoIP phones. It allows companies ranging from eight to over 3,500 recorded telephone devices to implement conversation recording while they begin or continue to deploy VoIP throughout their business.
