VMware Lead Staff Engineer for ThinApp and Horizon, VMware Nation Team Lead for Emerging Products Brings 18 Year Industry Tenure to Cloud, Managed Services Provider

With more than eighteen years experience in technology, Travis brings a wide knowledge base to BTG. In addition to providing executive and technical leadership, he will be directly responsible for all hosting services, solution development, data management, and information systems within the organization.

Prior to joining BTG, Travis served as a Staff Engineer at VMware, Inc., where he was a leader within the End-User Computing business unit, and instrumental in both developing and bringing VMware ThinApp and VMware Horizon to market. Of note, is that Travis was also a founding member of VMware’s Center of Excellence group.
Travis’s tenure at VMware began as a result of the company’s acquisition of Thinstall February 2008, at which Travis was a principle.
From datacenter management to software development, Travis has always been at the forefront of new technologies both from an enterprise level and that of a provider. His background and experience has been shaped over the years from working with the leaders in the technology industry. As a highlight, Travis was the IT Director for a technology company founded by former Microsoft Chief Technology Officer, Nathan Myhrvold.
The son of a USMC Colonel, Travis also was member of the US Navy after attending Texas A&M University.
