Berlin, Germany (July 12, 2012)– snom technology AG, a leading developer of IP desktop phones and IP communications solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Usman Tahir to the executive board as chief technology officer (CTO), responsible for the technical development of the company. As a corporate officer, Tahir will oversee the engineering and technological direction at snom. In addition, company founder Dr. Christian Stredicke will move into a strategic role on snom’s supervisory board.

Tahir began at snom as Senior Software Engineer in 2001 before becoming VP, Product Management in 2010. Prior to snom, Tahir worked as Design Engineer at AVAZ Networks and also at Communications Enabling Technologies. Educational credentials include a BA in Political Science & Sociology and a BE (CS & EE) at the National University of Sciences & Technology, as well as an MBA in International Business at the University of Stuttgart in 2008.
