NetVanta UC Suite with Notification Server recognized for delivering improved flexibility in communications-enabled business processes
HUNTSVILLE, Ala.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ADTRAN, Inc., (NASDAQ:ADTN), a leading provider of cloud connectivity, virtual mobility and enterprise communications solutions, today announced that TMC, a global, integrated media company, named ADTRAN’s NetVanta Unified Communications (UC) Solution Suite with Notification Server as a 2012 Unified Communications TMC Labs Innovation Award winner for demonstrating raw innovation, delivering unique features and improving communications technology. The NetVanta UC Notification Server (UCNS) is an outbound notification application that automatically notifies customers of important events or appointments. As an integral part of ADTRAN’s NetVanta UC portfolio, the UCNS allows businesses to more efficiently use existing resources and further improve productivity and profitability.
“The NetVanta UC Suite with Notification Server delivers the applications and features that businesses expect from a UC solution—such as voicemail, auto-attendant, unified messaging, presence and IM—but in a way that is personalized to meet each business’ particular needs,” said Jeff Wissing, NetVanta UC senior product manager, ADTRAN’s Enterprise Networks Division. “ADTRAN’s NetVanta UC optimizes users’ business processes, enabling efficient and effective communications so businesses can focus on what really matters—the customer.”
ADTRAN’s NetVanta UC is a software suite that can be virtualized on VMware residing on purpose-built, performance-enhanced hardware or it can be deployed on customer/partner hardware, offering ultimate flexibility and simplicity. Because NetVanta UC can be installed on a virtual server, geographically separated from the customer’s business location, there is no additional equipment required at the customer location, lending to improved business continuity and disaster recovery.
“ADTRAN has displayed its commitment to quality and innovation in the development of the unified communications industry,” said Tom Keating, CTO and TMC Labs executive editorial director at TMC. “I look forward to more innovation from ADTRAN and continued effort toward improving the future of the UC industry.”
“We’re pleased to bestow ADTRAN with a Unified Communications TMC Labs Innovation Award,” stated Rich Tehrani, TMC CEO. “ADTRAN’s NetVanta UC Suite with Notification Server has shown true innovation and is deserving of this recognition.”
