GlobalMed sponsors keynote address by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak at San Jose conference.
Scottsdale, AZ April 26, 2012 — Visitors to the American Telemedicine Association International Meeting and Exposition will encounter GlobalMed throughout the April 29-May 1 conference. In the Expo Hall at the San Jose Convention Center, the Scottsdale, Arizona-based real-time healthcare delivery company will provide hands-on demonstrations of the first true HD examination camera for telemedicine, the TotalExamHD, and the next generation of image automation, CapSure 2.
Also featured in the two-story, GlobalMed booth #535 will be TES (Transportable Examination Station), the lightweight carry-on case that enables a provider to examine patients outside a clinic or doctor’s office and teleconference with a remote physician via wireless, 3G/4G, Ethernet or SAT phone connection; the new FirstExam Mobile Telemedicine Station that fits into examination rooms and offices where space is at a premium and securely stores up to four medical devices and cords out of sight in compartments; and CONi Services, the cloud-based application that saves both visible and invisible light DICOM images into patient EMRs for easy viewing on a remote tablet, laptop or desktop computer.
Two physicians on GlobalMed’s Advisory Board will be giving presentations on telemedicine in the GlobalMed booth theater on April 30 and May 1. Ricardo Martinez, MD, FACEP, Advisory Board Chairman, will speak on “Redefining Regionalization in Emergency Care.” And Phil Johnson, MD, will discuss “A New Paradigm in Patient Care.” The topic of the presentation on April 30 from Manoel Coelho and Detelina Trendafilova – GlobalMed’s International Business Development team – will be “Moving from International Pilot to Implementation.”
