CRI, a leading innovator within Unified Communications and virtual platforms, has released Avaya Agile Communication Environment (ACE) on the CRI IS platform.

CRI’s IS platforms deliver a full suite of applications all on a single 1U rack-mounted server using industry standard virtual technology. This solution is fully supported by Avaya Services and available globally and backed by a 30 hour CRI Care contract.  Currently available are the IS- Conferencing, Messaging, Unified Communications, and now IS-ACE.

Avaya ACE is a software-based solution that dramatically simplifies and accelerates the process of integrating multi-vendor communications systems with business applications. It is a key part of Avaya Intelligent Communications enabling organizations to improve business agility and competitiveness by integrating communications with people-dependent business applications and processes. Using Avaya ACE, IT developers can endow business systems with communications capabilities, quickly and simply. Avaya ACE is deployed with a set of easy to use, web service API’s available in the Avaya ACE Software Developer Toolkit (e.g. Click-to-Call/Conference/Video, Telephony and Video Presence, Location-based Services, Call History, Call Forwarding, Call Notification, etc). The Avaya ACE solution also offers pre-built applications that can be leveraged for immediate productivity gains, cost savings, and revenue generation.

CRI IS-ACE removes the complexity of integrating applications on the customer premise. The core applications are delivered turnkey ready for production. With minimal on site integration work, the applications are up and running in 4 to 6 hours. The design is flexible enough to accommodate third party adapters, monitor agents, and gateways.

The same business application can be deployed in different environments with different underlying network infrastructures.

•   Organizations can change their communications infrastructure without having to rewrite their communications enabled applications. For example, when an organization upgrades from Cisco Unified Communications Manager to Avaya Aura, business applications that use Avaya ACE web services capabilities that are supported on both platforms will continue to work with only a few updates to configuration settings on the Avaya ACE server.

•   In an environment comprising multiple platforms from multiple vendors, Avaya ACE can be configured to use different network elements to provide different communications capabilities to the web services. Avaya ACE allows you to configure rules and set the preferred service provider order to determine which network elements provide which services to Avaya ACE.

The partnership between Avaya and CRI continues to grow with heightened energy and vigor.  “CRI is always looking to enhance the customer experience when deploying Unified Communications.  By combining our virtualization skills and Avaya’s willingness to embrace their development partners together we are delivering tomorrows technology today!” Paul Leatherman, CTO of CRI.

Aaron Bennis, Avaya ACE Partner Ecosystem Development said, “As an Avaya Gold Business Partner and proficient DevConnect Gold member, CRI was able to rapidly prototype an enhanced IS offering by leveraging the easy-to-use Avaya ACE Software Developer Toolkit.  In less than two weeks, CRI was self-sufficient in getting their Avaya ACE lab up and running with a proof-of-concept demo of IS-ACE.” And “The bottom line is that the joint solution between Avaya ACE and CRI- IS provides further simplification of complex communication integration.”
